Too late with Andrew Badami
Overview
“Too Late with Andrew Badami” marked SCAD’s debut into the world of late-night talk shows, led by students. Designed to blend humor, cultural commentary, and campus life, the show needed a set that reflected its punchy tone and dynamic host presence. I was part of the production design team/Set decorator, contributing to the construction and sourcing of key set props that brought the talk show format to life in a uniquely SCAD way.
Process
As a first-of-its-kind production at SCAD, the challenge lay in building a professional-grade set from the ground up — with limited resources and a tight timeline — while ensuring the space supported the host’s comedic timing and the show's overall aesthetic.
Working closely with the art direction team, I assisted in the physical construction of the set and sourced character-driven props that enhanced both visual storytelling and functionality. The result was a vibrant, well-composed space that gave the show a signature look and set the tone for future SCAD talk show productions.
